Britannia Community Center

Britannia Community Services Centre Society has its origin in cooperative community action in the 1970s. Local citizens and various civic agencies created the organization in 1974 to coordinate and integrate a wide range of human services to meet the interests and needs of residents.

Through a locally elected Board of Management, the non-profit society provides a leadership role in developing and facilitating educational, recreational, library and social services for the communities of Grandview-Woodland and Strathcona.

In collaboration with personnel from the Vancouver School Board, the Vancouver Public Library Board and the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation, the Society manages the approximately 18-acre complex .

There are also numerous off-site programs and activities.

The team at Britannia Community Center have been incredible over these last three years. When we first started hosting this event it was a first time for most of us. The folks at Britannia lent their expertise and experience as well as hands on support while we got our selves established. We thank them for their continued support and look forward to working with them for years to come.

Special thanks for this years support goes out to Tom Higashio! You are the man!
